Usually, September issues are the best and the brightest, featuring enviable cover stars - but this summer, A-listers from Miley Cyrus to Janelle Monae have graced the covers of major mags. The latest cool cover star is supermodel Irina Shayk, who’s on BAZAAR.com's Summer Digital Cover.

Shayk has certainly had a busy year. After splitting with longtime love Bradley Cooper, rumors ran rampant about their relationship. Now, the normally tight-lipped model is opening up about natural beauty, marriage and parenting as the magazine's cover girl.

While she may always look perfectly done on the red carpet, she admitted, “I'm not perfect. I have bad skin days and bad hair days. Sometimes I don't look like a model. I'm just a real human being… If somebody wants to inject their lips because they feel bad, God bless them. I don't judge anyone."

The Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit model went on to speak about how she wants to promote natural beauty. “But I'm not perfect. Sometimes I have a double chin. Perfection doesn't exist. I'm going to have wrinkles and I have wrinkles. You just have to accept the idea of aging and of bodies at every stage, and just celebrate it. In life we have to let it go and understand it's a human process not to be perfect.”

Shayk also told the mag that she understands why the public and media are so obsessed with her private life but it doesn’t sound like she’s going to reveal more anytime soon.

“I think it's just human beings: if you cannot have it, you want to have it. There's a curtain there, you want to open the curtain. It's curiosity I guess,” she said.

The Russian-born model went on to say that she does still believe in marriage after the break although right now, it seems like she's focusing on parenting. "You have to be really truly yourself for your kids, otherwise you're living in a lie," she said.

She went on to discuss the role of women in Russia, saying, “Women are the ones who can handle everything. Woman can raise the kids, women can do the job, and when she's back, she can cook and clean and do the heavy work too!... We never had men around. You have to learn how to put a nail in the wall, how to hang the curtains. I know everything about how to plant potatoes and cucumbers because in Russia, it’s how you survive the winter."

Sounds like Shayk is ready for anything - whether it's a marriage proposal or potato planting.
