Waksal settles insider dealing case

FORMER ImClone Systems chief Samuel Waksal has agreed to pay more than $800,000 (£498,000) and to never again be an officer of a public company, in a partial settlement of insider trading charges. The Securities and Exchange Commission had accused Waksal of trying to sell shares before news of a major setback for the firm.
