Two men will appear in court today over an alleged plot targeting soul singer Joss Stone.

Junior Bradshaw, 30, and Kevin Liverpool, 33, both from Manchester, are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

The two were arrested on Monday in the town of Cullompton, close to Stone's family home in Devon.

The 24-year-old, whose hits include Super Duper Love and Fell In Love With A Boy, issued a statement yesterday, saying: "I'd like to thank everyone for their concern but I'm absolutely fine and getting on with life as normal while the police continue with their inquiries."

Last month the Sunday Times Rich List ranked her the fifth wealthiest British and Irish pop star aged under 30, thanks mainly to her huge success
in the US.

The suspects are due to appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court.
