Osama Bin Laden goes on Facebook

In hiding: Osama Bin Laden
12 April 2012

Osama Bin Laden has created a page on Facebook to post videos and speeches to Islamic militants.

The page has almost 1,000 followers and lists the al Qaeda terror chief's address as "the mountains of the world".

Security experts urged Facebook's owners to shut down the internet page.

The profile page is named "The leader of the Mujahideen, Osama bin Laden", and although written in Arabic, messages have appeared in English.

There is a £16million bounty on his head. It is believed he is hiding in mountains between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
