Night bus driver stabbed

12 April 2012

A London bus driver repeatedly stabbed in front of his passengers is recovering in hospital today.

The 42-year-old, who has not been named, suffered wounds to his back and legs.

Police said the driver was confronted by two men and a woman when he stopped his N6 at a bus stop outside the Falcon pub in Kilburn Lane in Kensal Green on Friday night.

In an ensuing argument he was stabbed, but managed to flee, bleeding heavily, to a nearby takeaway and an ambulance was called.

"It appears the stabbing was totally unprovoked," a police spokesman said. Witnesses are asked to call Paddington CID on 020 7321 8510.
