Mountain death climber named

A south London man has fallen 100ft to his death on a Scottish island.

Ian Greig, 56, of Grandison Road, Wandsworth, died while climbing at Ruanaich on Iona, off the coast of Mull. Emergency services were alerted by Mr Greig's friend, who was climbing on the other side of the mountain.

A coastguard helicopter was scrambled to assist the injured man but the victim was pronounced dead before it arrived.
