Police want to trace this car. .

Detectives hunting the killer of schoolgirl Milly Dowler are examining possible links with the murders of Amelie Delagrange and Marsha McDonnell.

They want to discover if the man who abducted Milly, 13, in Surrey three years ago is a serial killer. Dozens of other attacks on women in London and of gap year student Miss McDonnell, 19, near her home in Hampton in 2003, the the Home Counties have been examined for similarities. They include the murder murder of French student Miss Delagrange, 22, in Twickenham last year and four other attempted murders of women in the same area.

The development came as Surrey police appealed for information about a red N-reg Daewoo Nexia car caught on CCTV yards from where Milly vanished as she walked home in Walton- on-Thames on 21 March 2002.

Six months later her body was discovered in woods in Hampshire.

There is a £50,000 reward for information which leads police to convict Milly's killer.

Anyone with information should contact police on 0845 125 2222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
