Scotland Yard will never give up the battle to bring the killers of Pc Yvonne Fletcher to justice, Sir Paul Stephenson has said.

The Met commissioner renewed his pledge to identify the men who gunned down the 25-year-old outside the Libyan embassy in 1984.

Sir Paul was speaking yesterday at a memorial ceremony for more than 650 Met officers who have died in the line of duty.

He was joined by Ms Fletcher's parents Tim and Queenie, Boris Johnson, and dozens of bereaved relatives at the Met's Hendon training centre.
