Kerkorian - 'I will never settle'

KIRK Kerkorian has vowed never to surrender or settle in his bitter legal battle against DaimlerChrysler.

The billionaire was Chrysler's largest investor when it merged with German giant Daimler-Benz in 1998. He is demanding $1bn (£580m) damages for 'deceit and fraud' by Daimler's chief Jurgen Schrempp, who described the deal as a 'merger of equals'.

Kerkorian said: 'I will never entertain settlement talks with Daimler. We are going to trial.'
