Imran Khan accuses Benazir Bhutto of 'betrayal'

Imran Khan has accused former prime minister Benazir Bhutto of betrayal by not backing an election boycott he claims is the key to ousting Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf.

Bhutto says she may still join opposition parties shunning January's general election to protest at Musharraf's emergency rule and purging of the Supreme Court.

But she unveiled her own manifesto on Friday, with promises of jobs, housing and health care.

"It is a complete case of betrayal," said Imran. "She says the emergency rule is illegal and yet she is legitimising the whole process."
