Harry Potter takes a year out

The eagerly awaited next Harry Potter book will not now appear this year, publisher Bloomsbury confirmed today.

The company had denied that author JK Rowling was suffering from writer's block on the fifth title, Harry Potter And The Order Of Phoenix.

The books are estimated to account for around half Bloomsbury's sales and profits for the past three years.
