Harrison and Calista still rocky

When Harrison Ford announced in a seedy bar that his relationship with Calista Flockhart was on the rocks, she raced home to steady the ship.

It is clearly proving a difficult task.

Three weeks after the former Ally McBeal star quit her London theatrical debut, they took Miss Flockhart's dog for a walk near Ford's home in Santa Monica, California.

And their body language told its own eloquent story.

Miss Flockhart, 39, stared miserably at the ground while her lover's eyes were everywhere except on her. Eventually 61-year-old Ford appeared to make a conciliatory gesture as they stopped by a tree, but to no avail.

Showing every sign of a row, she had her hands firmly shoved into her back pockets, her head tilted to the side and stared into the distance.

Until recently it was thought that the pair, who have been dating for two years, were a certainty to marry.

Last month, Ford finalised his divorce from second wife Melissa Mathison, after 18 years of marriage, with a record £50million settlement.

Miss Flockhart was said to have pushed him into sealing his divorce to leave them free to wed.

But it appears the sound of wedding bells is now losing its attraction for the man whose many roles include Indiana Jones and Han Solo in Star Wars. He appeared the worse for wear in a Mexican bar last month where he downed tequila shots with beer chasers before limbo-dancing.

It was then, as he posed for photographs with a gaggle of lady admirers, that he admitted in a slurred voice that the relationship was 'on the rocks'.

Miss Flockhart was in London rehearsing for the title role in Eugene O'Neill's Anna Christie.

She was due to play a woman who tries to keep unsavoury details about her work from the man who wants to marry her.
