Harlequins lifted by Strettle return

Back on bench: Dave Strettle

Dave Strettle makes his return from a second metatarsal injury for high-flying Harlequins at Leeds on Sunday.

England wing Strettle will be among the replacements for third-placed Quins after an eight-week absence.

He said: "My first contact session on Tuesday felt like a game because I had been out for so long. I will, hopefully, get on at Leeds. I have already had lots of up and downs in my career and I just want to play and get the ball in my hands."

England team-mate Andy Farrell is due to undergo shoulder surgery today after injuring himself during Saracens' Heineken Cup win against Ospreys and will be unable to watch his team-mates tackle Gloucester at Kingsholm tomorrow.

Brent Russell, Paul Gustard and Francisco Leonelli are also out.

London Wasps welcome back captain Lawrence Dallaglio from a one-match ban at home to Worcester tomorrow, while London Irish visit Newcastle with a side hit by injuries sustained during their Cup victory over Perpignan.

A crowd of 60,000 is expected at Twickenham tomorrow when Leicester face Ospreys in the EDF Energy Cup Final.
