Dinosaurs and cavemen? Fat chance of that ad

A GOVERNMENT anti-obesity advert has been criticised for containing a major scientific gaffe.

The Change 4 Life ad, by Saatchi & Saatchi for the Department of Health, shows cavemen hunting dinosaurs. It aims to convey that lack of exercise and bad diet lead to cancer, heart failure and diabetes.

The Royal Society of Chemistry has called for the ad to be scrapped. "In the very year that Darwin's theory of evolution is being celebrated, it suggests humans and dinosaurs co-existed," RSC chief Dr Richard Pike said. "Fred Flintstone might have but surely we should expect a more accurate approach."
