Colefax suffers in a material world

DEMAND for upmarket fabric is suffering from the weak state of the high-end housing market, home furnishing group Colefax says.

UK sales in its fabrics arm fell 2% in the year to 30 April and there are signs the market is 'getting tougher'. Group pre-tax profits fell 28% to £2.8m.
