Capita trio in £7.5m bonanza

Robert Lea12 April 2012

Three bosses at Capita, which won the £230million contract to run Ken Livingstone's controversial congestion-charging scheme, shared a £7.5 million pay and share windfall bonanza last year.

Capita, formed 15 years ago, has grown into a £3billion company on the back of government and local council work. Founder and chairman Rod Aldridge owns a stake worth nearly £80million.

Latest accounts show operations director Paddy Doyle, 51, cashed in bonus shares and options worth £3.3 million on top of his £337,000 pay package; finance director Gordon Hurst, 40, picked another £2.1 million on top of his £274,000 pay package; and chief executive Paul Pindar, 42, cashed in options worth £1.2 million on top of his £408,000 package.
