Boy, 13, is run over twice

Richard Allen12 April 2012

A 13-year-old boy was critically ill today after being run over twice.

The boy was walking home from Kingsdown School in Dulwich when a blue VW Golf convertible crashed into him in South Croxted Road, causing serious injuries, and then sped off without stopping, despite having a broken windscreen.

As the boy lay in the road, he was hit again by a Suzuki Wagon, which stopped.

A police spokesman said: "Police need to hear from witnesses to the collision but we also need information on the whereabouts of the VW."
