Anti-gay activist's trip with a rent boy

A leading Christian anti-gay activist in America has been photographed returning from a holiday with a rent boy.

George Rekers, a Baptist minister who sits on the board of a national organisation which aims to change the sexuality of homosexuals, had been on a 10-day trip to London and Madrid with the 20-year-old Puerto Rican.

The prostitute has a profile on Rentboy.com website, giving his name as "Geo" and describing himself as "sensual," and "wild".

Dr Rekers told journalists he hired Geo as a "travel assistant" to help him carry his luggage. He said he had spent the trip "sharing scientific information on the desirability of abandoning homosexual intercourse" with Geo.

Gay rights campaigners want him to resign from the board of the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality.
