28 killed in India as bus drives over live wire

Twenty-eight bus passengers were killed in India today when the vehicle touched a high-voltage wire and caught fire.

The electricity supply wire was overhanging the road in Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh state, police officer Ram Pyari Dhurwey said.

The blaze was the second such accident in India this week. At least 15 people died on Thursday when their truck touched a high-voltage wire.
