A Thames sailing barge that starred as one of the wartime rescue fleet of Little Ships in this year’s blockbuster film Dunkirk, is for sale with Riverhomes at £395,000, down from £425,000.

Built in 1926 as a cargo vessel, Xylonite worked the east coast for 51 years. Privately owned since 1977, she’s now a luxury floating home, with fitted galley, four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The owner sailed her across the Channel to the beaches of northern France, where he and his friends were extras in the movie alongside stars including Harry Styles and Sir Mark Rylance.

The vessel is now moored in Limehouse Basin Marina, between Canary Wharf and The City.

Limehouse Basin website says a mooring fee for a residential boat of this size is about £875 a month and live-in owners pay council tax.
