David Tennant is installing a swimming pool in the garden of his £2.6 million Chiswick home.

After waiting a year, the former Doctor Who actor has been granted planning permission for a 16-metre pool, which is thought to be costing about £150,000.

The plan includes a changing room, gym and garden room.

The development will be screened by a row of trees, providing perfect privacy for the star and his family.

Tennant and his actress wife Georgia Moffett are expecting their fifth child so they are hopeful for a good delivery — on both counts.
