Hornsey Town Hall has played a starring role in BBC drama Killing Eve, which has started airing its new season earlier than expected.

Currently under restoration to incorporate new homes as well as a hotel, rooftop bar and arts space, the building is seen as Moscow's fictional Hotel Atlasov in the series.

The brutalist exteriors were shot in Strada George Enescu in the Romanian capital, Bucharest, while all the interiors for the hotel lobby, bar and restaurant scenes were filmed in the town hall in N8. This is where Eve and Carolyn stay while in pursuit of Villanelle in season one.

The collection of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments is being created across two new-build blocks, a mews building and a carefully restored annexe.

Make Architects is using layered brickwork and carefully crafted geometric metal balustrades to reflect the Art Deco features and modernist aesthetic, along with the distinctive concrete pattern from Hornsey Library.

Some of the homes will have floor-to-ceiling windows and chevron timber flooring which is in keeping with the original flooring.

Most will have balconies, terraces or gardens, opening up from either the living areas or master bedrooms.
