Christmas 2017: Where to find London's most vibrant festive lights

The city has been brought to life in recent weeks as some of London's most iconic locations switch on their festive lights.

From city-centre spots such as Regent Street, Oxford Circus and Carnaby Street to further-flung areas including Kew Gardens and Battersea Power Station (not to mention a scattering of statement hotel trees by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Tracey Emin), the capital has been adorned with hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights in time for Christmas.

This week saw hundreds attend the big reveal at Trafalgar Square as a 20-metre Norwegian spruce was lit up in all its glory.
