The V&A is celebrating the moving image on Friday 30 March with a series of workshops, screenings and performances focusing on animation, from hand-drawn frames to the latest computer technologies.

Highlights include a behind-the-scenes look at famous ads and music videos by award-winning production company Nexus, workshops by graphic designers Airside and the chance to see some original drawings by Walt Disney.

You'll also be able to watch animation graduates from Central Saint Martins create a cartoon from scratch and an interactive installation by Philip Worthington, entitled Shadow Monsters, will run throughout the evening.

Friday Late Animate, V&A, Cromwell Road. SW7. Friday 30 March from 6.30pm to 10pm. Admission is free. 020 7942 2000 or visit www.vam.ac.uk
