Matt LeBlanc flies solo as he races across the desert in the new Top Gear teaser trailer.

The Friends actor, 48, can be seen struggling to climb into an Ariel Nomad in the latest footage.

After finally fitting himself into the vehicle and stating “A door would be nice”, he takes the Nomad for a spin across the Moroccan desert.

The 40 second clip also sees LeBlanc shouting “this is too fun” as a motorbike flies over the top of his vehicle as the two go off road.

LeBlanc – who will co-host the revamped motoring show with Chris Evans – is left “fairly dusty” after racing the motorbike across the terrain.

The US actor will also be joined on the show by racing driver Sabine Schmitz, YouTube star Chris Harris, F1 pundit Eddie Jordan and motoring journalist Rory Reid.

The new series is expected to air in May, but a date is yet to be announced.

It was last week reported that show bosses were altering the start date over fears of competition from Britain’s Got Talent.

It was reportedly pushed back to May 22, but that date would mean going head-to-head with the first semi-final of the ITV talent show.

A spokesperson for the show told Standard Online: “We have always said we will launch in May and full scheduling details will be announced in due course.”
