Harry Potter star Tom Felton has landed a part in the new season of The Flash.

The British actor will have regular role in the third series of the US superhero show, aired on Sky One in the UK.

Felton, 28, who played Draco Malfoy in the Potter franchise, will join the cast of the Arrow spin-off show at the beginning of the new season, which kicks off in October.

The show follows the adventures of CSI officer Barry Allen, who has superhero powers, played by Grant Gustin.

Felton is set to play a fellow CSI officer at the Central City Police Department, who begins to suspect Allen’s secret.

A tweet from the show’s official account confirmed the news on Thursday: “From the world of magic to the DC universe, @TomFelton joins #TheFlash next season as CSI Julian Dorn!”

In an interview with Press Association earlier this year, Felton admitted that he would probably always be associated with villainous characters.

“It makes people a little bit cautious when they approach me. That works to my favour,” he said.

Talking about the role that shot him to international stardom, he added:

“I miss him [Draco Malfoy] greatly. I certainly enjoy the darker side of characters. Equally I just enjoy playing someone who isn’t like me.”
