Good Morning Britain viewers dubbed an 83-year-old grandmother ‘supergran’ after she showcased her indoor skydiving skills live on air.

Glenn Mills, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, told the ITV breakfast show that her regular indoor skydiving sessions help her to manage the pain as well as strengthening her muscles.

Fans of the show called the daring octogenarian an “inspiration,” with one tweeting: “Wow what an inspiration, go girl.”

Another wrote: “What a woman! The joy on her face… fantastic(sic).”

Despite being confined to a wheelchair as a result of her condition, Mills manages to go skydiving every week.

She told presenter Katie Ricketts: “It helps my mind and I work hard to try and keep [the MS at bay]. I could be 20 years old again [when I’m skydiving].”

Viewers watched as Mills donned a red helmet to go with her blue flying suit before taking to the wind tunnel at Manchester’s iFly indoor skydiving centre.

The GMB studio broke into a round of applause when Mills came back down to earth.

Later in the programme the outgoing granny revealed she has tried other adrenaline activities including zip lining and abseiling, but that skydiving was her preferred sport.

“The others I have enjoyed but this is what I look forward to all of the time. It’s wonderful,” she said.
