Celebrity Big Brother 2016: the housemates dress up as robots in ‘Artificials’ shopping task

Things have just got seriously silly in the reality TV house

It’s still less than a week since Celebrity Big Brother kicked off, and the series has already brought the drama.

Not only did Marnie Simpson spark 79 Ofcom complaints for flashing at Saira Khan, but Christopher Biggins stoked up further controversy by calling bisexuals “the worst type”.

Now, though, it’s time to bring the fun back with a daft new shopping task.

Big Brother has gone all science fiction by turning half of the housemates into ‘the Artificials’ – a set of super-intelligent life-like robots.

“For this week’s shopping task, you will go head-to-head in a series of challenges to test which species is truly the most superior,” explained Big Brother.

“The group that are successful in the majority of tasks will be crowned victorious, and will receive a luxury shopping budget.”

As well as taking part in tasks, the Artificials are acting as servants to the human housemates, who have been told that they shouldn’t “lift a finger”.

Lewis Bloor, Ricky Norwood, Grant Bovey, Chloe Khan, Aubrey O’Day, Sira Khan, and Frankie Grande have been chosen as the Artificials, while Renee Graziano, Marnie Simpson, Christopher Biggins, Samantha Fox, James Whale, Heavy D, Katie Waissel, and Stephen Bear are the lucky humans.

While the housemates seem to be having fun in their dressing up for now, it shouldn’t be long before the Artificials become fed up of their subservient roles – so expect arguments in the coming days.
