The BBC made a boob of the Royal Wedding after confusing the word “dress” for “breasts”.

BBC News 24 showed footage of Princess Eugenie walking into St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle with her father Prince Andrew on Friday morning.

A presenter was discussing her Peter Pilotto gown as she ascended the stairs – but the subtitles failed to reflect that.

“What a beautiful breasts,” they read. “Absolutely fitting her.”

The gaffe didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers, with one comparing it to a scene from political comedy series W1A.

One tweeted: “BBC Subtitles at it again... Is Boris writing the subtitles?”

Another wrote: “Lol.. #classic.”

A third posted: “The BBC's subtitles during a #RoyalWedding news report made QUITE the error.”

A BBC spokesperson said: “Our live subtitling service produces accuracy levels in excess of 98 percent but, as with all broadcasters, there are instances - particularly during live broadcasts - when mistakes happen. On this occasion the voice recognition subtitling software made an error.”

The Queen’s granddaughter and ninth in line to the throne tied the knot with long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank on Friday morning in front of 850 guests.

The young royal was flanked by a bridal party made up of Princess Charlotte, Mia Tindall, Isla and Savannah Phillips, Maud Windsor and Robbie Williams and Ayda Fields’ daughter Theodora ‘Teddy’ Rose.

A handful of A-list stars stepped out to celebrate the nuptials, including Demi Moore, Ellie Goulding, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
