Alesha Dixon is set to host ITV’s new Strictly Come Dancing rival show.

The ex-pop star, who was a judge on Strictly after winning the 2007 series, will present Dance Dance Dance when it debuts in 2017.

The series will see celebrities attempt to recreate famous dances from music videos and films, attempting to impress a panel of judges.

The judging line-up is set to include Diversity’s Ashley Banjo, as well as choreograpers Tina Landon and Timor Steffens.

Iconic routines to be attempted in the series include the likes of Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time, Crazy in Love by Beyonce, Michael Jackson’s Bad, and Vogue by Madonna.

“The standard of dance is very high and I can't wait for the public to see these iconic performances brought back to life,” Dixon said.

“The art of dance has always played a big part in my life so this show is the perfect fit for me.”

The show will consist of six 90-minute episodes.

Contestants already lined up for the series include TOWIE’s Jessica Wright, JLS singer JB Gill, Coronation Street actress Lucy-Jo Hudson, former EastEnders actor Jonny Labey, and Emmerdale’s Fiona Wade.
