Cochrane is an instantly cherishable, naturally gifted storyteller, whether bringing mundane tales of shopping trips to IKEA alive or discussing his childhood being brought up by a hardcore feminist mum. Comedy legend Richard Pryor's daughter made her UK debut at 2005's Edinburgh Festival. If only her show had been billed as musical theatre, the comedy critics might have appreciated its mix of sentimentality and songs.
