The first act to be announced for next summer’s Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time in Hyde Park was a biggie: Take That.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald will take to the stage on July 9 following this year’s sold-out world tour.

Tickets for the one-off gig are on sale now, starting at £65 for general admission tickets and rising to £75 for priority entry then up to £250 for the exclusive ‘diamond circle’.

The band said they were “thrilled” to perform in the park for the first time.

In a statement, they said: “If someone would have told us in 1991, 'Hey guys, in 24 years you're going to be playing at one of the most famous parks in the world', I probably wouldn't have believed whoever said it.”
