Reading Festival: Queens of the Stone Age and Paramore confirmed headliners

10 March 2014

US rockers Queens of the Stone Age and Paramore have been revealed as the final headliners at this year's Reading Festival.

They join previously announced headline acts Arctic Monkeys and Blink-182 at the event staged over the bank holiday weekend in August.

The two bands will play Reading on Friday and sister festival Leeds on Saturday, taking it in turns to perform last.

It is the fifth time Queens of the Stone Age will have played the event, and Paramore's fourth appearance.

Other names announced today include Chvrches, Bombay Bicycle Club and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

The US duo said: "We have been all over the world this past year and are thrilled to be coming back to the UK to play the Reading and Leeds festivals. It is a huge honour to be asked to perform at a festival with such a rich history."

Fans are being urged to put down a deposit to be in with a chance of tickets, which cost £202.50 for the whole weekend plus booking fees, with further details at www.festivalrepublic.com.
