Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds announce 2020 tour: How to get tickets to the London O2 dates

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will play two London arena shows as part of a European tour next year.

The band, who released their 17th studio album Ghosteen earlier this month, will visit the O2 on May 14 and 15.

It will come after a string of other huge shows across the country, with the band then heading off onto the continent for further concerts.

Cave last came to the capital in June, where he performed at “an evening of talk and music” at the Barbican, playing through a number of Bad Seeds songs. He also performed music by T Rex, Leonard Cohen and Grinderman.

Reviewing Ghosteen earlier in October, the Standard’s critic David Smyth described the album as “endlessly absorbing”, adding: “[Cave] is restrained and introspective, half-singing, half-speaking over a mix of piano and slow-drifting electronics. There’s no rock guitar, percussion or his old theatrical snarl. He sounds vulnerable but not beaten.” Read the full four-star review here.
