Massive Attack tour 2016: legendary trip-hop group announce string of dates with Young Fathers

The duo will come to London for two shows in February

Trip-hop giants Massive Attack have announced a new tour which includes two dates in Brixton.

The tour will commence in Dublin on January 19 2016, and will arrive in London at the Brixton Academy on February 3 and 4. They will also play Leicester, Leeds, Manchester, Portsmouth, Brighton. European dates

The pioneering group, currently a duo, also said they had plans to release new material.

It will be their first new music since 2011 track Splitting The Atom. Their last major release was 2009 album. Heligoland, despite promises in 2013 to deliver a new album within a year.

Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers will join Massive Attack as their support act. The Scottish hip-hop act released their second album, White Men Are Black Men Too, in April earlier this year.

Tickets for the show will be on pre-sale from 9am on Wednesday October 7 at massiveattack.co.uk. General sale tickets will be on sale from 9am on October 9.
