Smith gives in to the trend for classic album concerts and plays her 1975 debut, Horses, in full, with a group including her original bandmates Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty.

Beach House

Expect plenty of new material to be aired by the Baltimore duo, who recently released their fifth and sixth albums within two months of each other.

The Grammy-winning jazz bassist adopts her middle name for a new show titled Emily’s D+Evolution, which adds some theatre-style staging to the ambitious music.

A new midweek music festival taking place across east London, mainly showcasing new acts. Look out for Lianne La Havas at Village Underground on Tuesday, French kook Petite Meller at XOYO on Wednesday and rapper Vince Staples at Cargo on Thursday.

Eagles of Death Metal

The raucous band formed by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and his friend Jesse Hughes are now on their fourth album. Watch out for their cheeky cover of Duran Duran’s Save a Prayer.
