Farr Festival returns for its ninth edition this weekend, July 5-8, bringing an eclectic mix of electronic music to its woodland site in Hertfordshire.

Here, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know.

Location

Tucked away just outside the village of Newnham in the north of Herfordshire, Farr takes place within the idyllic setting of Bygrave Woods, its home since the festival's formation in 2009.

The full address is: Bygrave Woods, Newnham, Herfordshire, SG7 5JX.

Line-up

Main attraction: The Factory is the festival's biggest stage

Farr will feature four full days of music this year for the first time ever, adding an extra Sunday to its schedule to cater for “dub, reggae, disco and minimal”.

The rest of the festival will cover the electronic music spectrum, spread across five stages that have been curated by promoters, publications and the artists themselves.

The Factory main stage will welcome electro and techno hero DJ Stingray as one of its headliners, along with Mount Kimbie, Benji B, Maribou State, Hunee and others.

On the Friday, legendary duo Optimo top the bill in a back-to-back set with Young Marco on the Adventures in Success stage. They have also curated the rest of the day’s schedule, inviting Veronica Vasicka, Body Hammer and more to join them. Party organisers Your Love and the publication Ransom Note will run the two other days on the stage.
