Barry Manilow announces London Palladium residency: Dates and how to get tickets

Barry Manilow, who first burst onto the scene in 1960, is one of the biggest names in pop music.  

The Mandy singer has won not only two Grammys, but an Emmy and a Tony. But the talent doesn't end there, was Manilow has also written and performed songs for musicals, films, and commercials, for corporations such as McDonald's, Pepsi-Cola, and Band-Aid. 

On his next tour, he will perform a residency at The London Palladium spanning nine shows in May and June 2024.

Speaking about this latest announcement, the musician said, "In 1978, The London Palladium is where I began my love affair with the British public. These shows will be my last full concerts in Britain and I wanted to end where I began – at the London Palladium."

One fan replied on X, or Twitter,: "Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for all the beautiful memories we have had Barry.

"I've been there from the beginning and will be there to the end the UK love you and will miss you love and hugs from me to you see you next year take care."

A second added: "What an amazing life and career you have had in between! A life well lived. I'm so very happy for you."

The 80-year-old recently beat Elvis’s record for the longest-running show in Vegas. This milestone was marked in September, when the singer performed his 637th show at Westgate.

In 2017, the iconic musician came out as gay at the age of 73. He also explained that he didn’t open up about his sexuality sooner out of fear of “disappointing” his fans.

He revealed to People that he married his manager/long-term partner Garry Kief in April 2014, after meeting back in 1978.

Manilow will also play a one-off show at Manchester’s Co-Op Arena on May 19.

How to get tickets to Barry Manilow

London tickets went on sale today (October 27, at 10am) on the LW Theatres website. Prices range from £57.50 to £315, to see Barry Manilow up close and personal. You can get tickets for the Sunday in Manchester from Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from £47.95 to £434.35.
