Reissued before the new version is upon us, Paul Verhoeven’s swingeing piece of Hollywood science fiction, made in 1990, proved once and for all that Robocop was no fluke.
Adapted from Philip K Dick’s short story, it has Arnold Schwarzenegger as an ordinary Joe with an implanted memory and an overweening desire to get at the dictator controlling Mars.
