Rolls-Royce shares crash as jet engine fails in flight

Rolls-Royce shares tumbled today after one of its engines failed on a Qantas Airbus A380.

The incident triggered an emergency landing in Singapore, a major scare for the airline which has never had a fatal jet crash.

Qantas has grounded its A380 fleet in response and Rolls-Royce shares fell back 25p to 642p on
the news.
