Leicester Square gets a Premier Inn

Premier Inn has signed a deal with Soho Estates — the leaseholder — for an 84-bedroom hotel on the site of what was formerly the Queen's Hotel in Leicester Square.

Whitbread, the budget hotel chain's parent company, will invest £6 million in the building.

Derek Griffin of Whitbread said: "This will give budget-conscious visitors a chance to stay in London's entertainment heart."
