Consumers are still losing confidence

British consumer confidence fell for the third month in a row in May as people grew more fearful about the economic outlook and health of their finances, a survey showed today.

The GfK consumer confidence index slipped two points this month to minus 18, its lowest since December, but still nine points higher than the minus 27 recorded in the same month last year.
