Britain’s Got Talent stars to pitch in at City charity day

Britain's Got Talent 2016: Amanda Holden throws water over David Walliams

TP ICAP’s 28th annual charity day is going ahead tomorrow (Thursday) remotely, in defiance of the pandemic.

Star guests will include Ant &Dec and Olivia Colman. New additions are Britain’s Got Talent presenters David Walliams and Amanda Holden. The celebrities will beam themselves onto giant screens on the trading floor in the City, and outside, in places including Times Square in New York

As usual, rivals brokers will effectively take the day-off and direct all custom to ICAP, with profits going to good causes.

Walliams is teaming up with Ant & Dec, who are appearing together on behalf of Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Amanda Holden is appearing for Battersea Dogs Home. Holden told The Sun earlier this year that her rescue dog Rudi helped her and her family get through lockdown.

The brokers will be in fancy dress once again. Colman is supporting Refuge.

Since it began, the ICAP Charity Day has raised some £150 million, and supported around 2,500 charitable projects around the world.

TP ICAP chief executive Nicolas Breteau: “This year, more than ever, we know that the charity sector is in great financial need.”

Previous famous guests have included the Princes Harry and William, Charles & Camilla, Will Carling, Daniel Craig and Gareth Southgate.
