Meet the Savvy Shopper
Amanda, 30, from Hackney spends her week juggling being a freelance events manager, PR & Marketing Manager and a private PA so come Saturday she wants to chill.
"If I'm spending the day with a girlfriend it'll be a mix of shopping, beauty treatments and a nice lunch," says Amanda. "Nothing too hurried with a few champagne pitstops. I'd take a taxi - essential as I'll be tottering in my heels and have lots of bags - and then meet up by boyfriend for a nice meal followed by the cinema."
Amanda takes her shopping seriously. "I love discovering new labels although my favourite has to be Zara with H&M and Miss Selfridge for basics. I like a classic look - high heels, a well tailored jacket with jeans and then with a twist of what's in fashion at the moment.
"I've got three nieces - two 15 year olds and an 11 year old - who love me to take them shopping so they can look at the designer labels like Prada."
Looking forward to: The Food Court - if I go with my girlfriends there is always a debate about where to eat. However, in the Food Court we can all have a different meal. One can have a salad, another something hot and if one's not eating they can just have a drink.
Perfect meal: A bit girly I'm afraid - healthy and not too fattening. Sushi or a salad.
What am I listening to? Whatever is in the charts and Adele: 21.
I'm reading: Jilly Cooper's Polo - for my book club. It's a bit different from the last book, God's Own Country about an oddball adolescent growing up in rural isolation in Yorkshire.
Favourite film: The Shawshank Redemption closely followed by When Harry Met Sally.
